They are beginner friendly, but also have longer options. Expect two courses at each training - a shorter, easier course that is suitable for beginners and families, as well as a longer more technical course for everyone else. Please remember this is entirely volunteer organized, so please pitch in to help out if you can. See Google Map at bottom of the page. </p><p><strong>Safety:<br></strong> </p><p>There are a few safety considerations on this map, including vehicle traffic in parking lots and roads bordering the area, as well as traffic from other park users. Please be courteous and keep your head up.<br> </p><p>There is also the potential for wild-life encounters with animals such as deer.<br> </p><p><strong>Registration:<br></strong> </p><p><span class="redactor-invisible-space">Click the green "+ Register" button next to your desired course. </span><br><strong></strong> </p><p><strong>Timing/Results:<br></strong> </p><p>This is a series of low key orienteering events using simple temporary markers and no electronic timing. If you wish to record your own time and route using a watch, phone, or GPS please feel free. We will endeavor to post times of those who participated and report their times. You MUST still check in at the finish so that we know you are out of the woods and do not start looking for you.<br> </p><p><strong>Cost:<br></strong> </p><p>There is no cost to participate in these trainings, however membership in the Sage Orienteering Club is required.<br> </p><p> <strong>Membership:</strong> </p><p> 2018 Membership in Sage Orienteering Club is required to cover insurance. This membership covers you for any orienteering event in Canada, including Sage events throughout the interior and the Sage Orienteering Club Championships this fall in Salmon Arm.
