All events will involve snow :) you choose how to complete the course ie. running, snowshoeing, skating or cross country skiing.</p><p>Winter Wonderland Orienteering Fun Event Co-Hosted with Alberta Orienteering Association</p><p><strong>Date</strong>: Tuesday February 10th, 2025</p><p><strong>Location</strong>: North Glenmore Park</p><p>Look for the Foothills and SOGO banners.</p><p>This event will take place entirely <strong>outdoors</strong>, please check and dress for the weather. Please be aware that if the temperature drops below -15 with wind the event will be postponed.</p><p><strong>When: 4 - 5 pm</strong></p><p><strong>What: </strong>Courses should take approximately <strong>30 - 60 min</strong> to complete. The event suits a wide range of abilities and ages, so bring the whole family!</p><p><strong>Cost:</strong> Everyone must register. $10 late registration per participant is available, including adults (kids under 2 are free). Invite a friend, neighbour and/or classmate. All ages are welcome! One year olds do not require registration but please register your 2 year olds for insurance purposes. On-line processing fees will apply.</p><p>Registration on the day for $10/participant.</p><p>The registration fee includes:</p><ul><li>An orienteering course (Short and Long option)</li><li>A map for each paid participant</li><li>Coaching assistance at the park if needed</li><li>Hot Chocolate & Cookies (feel free to bring treats to share)</li><li>A one-day club associate membership</li></ul><p><strong>We are always looking for volunteers!</strong> If you would like to sign up and help us with our event please reach out to Kimberly at manager@orienteeringcalgary.ca.
