Bonus points are often awarded for certain sets of points adding to the strategy. Don't be late because the penalty can be steep. Most years the snow is knee to wait deep and snow shoes are needed, but we never know what to expect year to year.</p><p>Post race we will over a warm meal and snacks/drinks to help recover the lost calories.</p><h2>Race Schedule</h2><p>8:45-9:30 Registration and Map Distribution @ Klondike Sports Park</p><p>THERE WILL BE A BUS RIDE - leaving 9.55 am</p><p>10:10am Race Start</p><p>(during the entire race, there will be a warm location on site, for family members and racers to convene and warm up)</p><p>12:40pm Race Finish</p><p>1:00pm Race results released and prizes awarded</p><h2>Race Location</h2><p>Wasaga Beach Provincial Park - The race will run in areas that have been rarely used in the past. The map was recently updated in fall 2023.</p><p>Race Registration: Klondike Sports Park (1888 Klondike Park Rd, Wasaga Beach, ON)<br></p><h2>Race Fees</h2><p>Early Bird Fee: $120 until Jan 3 at 11:59 pm</p><p>Normal Fee: $135 until Jan 31 at 11:59 pm</p><p>Late Fee : $150 until Feb 4 at 11.59 pm</p><p>Junior Teams or Family Teams: $85 until Jan 31 at 11:59 pm, $95 after that.</p><h2>Required Gear</h2><p>Each team member is required to carry the following:</p><ul><li>Emergency blanket</li><li>Compass</li><li>Whistle</li><li>At least 500 ml water</li></ul><p>Each team is required to carry the following:</p><ul><li>1 set of race maps</li><li>SI timing chip (to be provided by the race organizers)</li><li>First aid kit (able to treat small injuries/bleeding)</li></ul> 6289
